At the last model horse show, I was convinced that I need to cm a mini donkey. And the more I thought about it, the more I decided I should. They are the cutest things ever and I am a little bias, but the best mini creatures to own. Originally, I was going to use a foal body and beef it up, then I found a mini donkey body and thought about using that, but then I thought just about everyone who does a mini donkey uses that mold. So I began my search, and found gold! It's not a breyer, but a Schleich. I have never been a fan of those odd rubber like horses, but when I saw this little guy I thought I was going to have a heart attack!!!!!!!!!
I don't have a good picture because I camera ran away in the move, but he is the Falabella Foal. I saw him and knew exactly what he would become. I cut off his ears and tail and I am going to make him into a Miniature Mule Foal!!!!!!!!! I saw one for the first time a few weeks ago and I wanted to take him home in my backpack (no really, he would have fit) He is going to be so cute!!!!
My other fun project comes from my future performance show. I decided that I needed a roped calf. A running calf doesn't work for a standing horse and your really can't do Working Cow horse either because it just doesn't make sense. So I found a Sm running calf body and went to town, He was glued into his roped position and is ready for apoxie, same as the mini mule.
And that is where the downs come in. I am missing the A part of my apoxie. I can't find it anywhere, which REALLY sucks because I am chomping at the bit to start on these projects. My performance show in less then a month away and I won't have time/money to get new apoxie. Sigh.
So, now I sit and do nothing. Which makes me a very crabby person.
Oh well. He is a pic of the calf. Again my camera ran away during the move, when I find it I will post better pics of the calf and a pic of the mini.
