I still have the buckskin Remspark resin and the CM G4 Driving horse to name. I am getting close, but still have nothing definite yet.
Well, I finally got 2 of the 4 horses named. The Cujo resin is now Ima Redneck Romeo and the Sheza Lil' Pebble is now Sheza Classy Chic.

Well, today was the last day of the IHSA Hunt Seat season in my region. I didn't qualify for Regionals this year, but I am half way there in my jumping class and close in my flat class. February was an intense month for IHSA. The first weekend we had a show in Stillwater. It was a tough show, but still did ok. I ended up with 6th in jumping and 4th in flat on Saturday and 6th in jumping and 3rd in flat on Sunday. I learned a ton from that show and started getting ready for the next show, which was this weekend. This show was at River Falls, WI. I had fun this weekend, the horses made me work hard but in the end it paid off. Over the last several months I have been working really hard on my position and it really showed this weekend. I was sooo solid in the saddle. Every ride felt amazing. I feel like if a horse had done something silly that I would have been able to stick it.
Saturday jumping was not the best, but not the worst. My coach said that she was pleased with my riding and that I was really solid. I placed 5th. Then for my jumping class I drew a fantastic little Quarter Horse that I really wanted to take home with me. She gave me a great ride and I placed 2nd!!! That's the highest I placed in a flat class all season!!!! Sunday I drew a horse similar to the one from Saturday. I have a nice round except for him jumping me out of the saddle a little on the first jump and that he turned a little too soon for a corner fence, but the rest was really nice and I ended up placing 3rd. Not bad for my last jumping round of the season. My flat horse wasn't the greatest, but all in all it was a decent ride. My coach said that she was really impressed with how well I have been riding and how hard I have training. At the beginning of the season, I couldn't keep my seat in the saddle at the canter and looked like I had jello in my back and now I can sit just about any canter and my entire upper body is solid. I am sad that the season is over, but at the same time excited for next season! |
