Last night I started painting an Appaloosa. I like Leopard appaloosas, but I don't like the really "heavy" spotted ones. I like something simple and well balenced. So I started painting one that I would like instead of one that the rest of the model horse world would like and I have to say, I really like him. He has a reposition head, neck and back left leg. Of course he isn't finished yet, but I think he will look even better once he has eyes and hooves. I also finished prepping the Drafter that I started a long time ago. I don't think I am going to paint him, but I am going to offer him for sale. As much as I like him and think he is really cute, I think he needs to go to another home where they will spend a little more time with him ;) I think that he would look great as an old, sort of faded dapple grey. He has an older timer look, well at least I think he does. I'm not going to offer him for a lot, the paint filled in some of the detailing and it wasn't the most amazing apoxie work, but it's a start. I will be listing him on MHSP in a couple days, I want to get better pics of him first.
