Today I pretty much finished the 2 Appaloosas that I started last week. They just need to be sealed and then they are ready to start their new jobs. 1 of the horses will be joining my show string and the other is going to a new home. I know that the horse will be loved, so I am totally ok with him going to a new home. I'm hoping to get him off tomorrow or the day after. I don't think that either horse is LSQ, but they probably are PSQ. I will be showing one of the horses in photo shows, I might even send him to a live show, just to see how he does. Here are some pics of them. They have stripped hooves, some mottled skin around the muzzle, eyes and in between the back legs and I added some faint pick pastels to eyes, muzzle and other areas that needed it. I started prepping a traditional scale horse today. I plan on painting him to a leopard appaloosa. I am hoping that I can use it as a prize for my model horse show series. I had some really big, cool ribbons that I bought for it and planned on getting new center streamers for them, but it isn't working. It is actually rather expensive to get a new streamer for nibbons. So I am thinking that I would paint a horse for the champion and maybe paint another one for the reserve champion. I also got some neck sashes for traditional scale hroses that have custom printing on them. They turned out really well. I am thinking about getting more for different awards. I would like to get some nice LSQ tack as a drawing prize. I have a few saddle pads that I might use, but it would be cool to have something nicer then saddle pads. I am getting a ton of new horses that I will be using for customizing. I am also thinking about customizing a traditional scale horse as well, but I haven't 100% decided.
